At the beginning of February, I made my way to South America for a short holiday in Colombia and Brazil. After finding out I wouldn’t be able to participate in the Australasian Regional CrossFit Qualifiers, I decided to take a full break from training. And nutrition.
Having been toying with the idea to get back into boxing or maybe going back to Soccer. Looking forward to supporting a sport with CrossFit training.
Back into it today. Wow. Did it fucking hurt.
Four rounds for time:
21 Pull ups
15 Push jerk 60kg (40kg)
50 Double unders
Dropped the weights back to 40 and did three rounds, and was progressing with a good time (shocking recovery between reps) at about 16 minutes. Overall, happy with my movements, had lost a little momentum on my pull-ups (not to mention a few soft spots on the hands). Strength felt okay, just my cardio and lactic tolerance was all gone.
Nearly had my first pukie.
